Congratulations Caitlyn!
Caitlyn Scheirer will be swimming for the Lewis University Flyers this fall. She officially became a Flyer on May 17th (see pictures in the Photo Gallery of her official signing). Her current plan is to major in Athletic Management/Coaching, with a minor in Communications or Early Childhood Education.
Caitlyn has been swimming since she was four years old, and she plans to continue swimming all four years in college. She swam for the Washington Water Jets for 6 years and DOCS for 9 years. She was also a varsity swimming letter winner at Washington High School. She qualified for YMCA State, YMCA Nationals, and Junior Olympics.

NICE JOB TAYLOR!
Taylor Streid had a breakout rookie campaign, leading the St. Louis Billiken women with 17 individual first-place performances. She eclipsed the nearly 25-year-old school record in the 200 free in 1:52.79 and swam the leadoff leg of the school-record breaking 800-free relay in 7:43.64 at the A-10s.
In her first A-10 meet, the Peoria native finished seventh in the 200 fly with 2:08.95, 10th in the 100 fly at 57.66 and 13th in the 200 back at 2:06.34.
She owned SLU fastest times of the season in a team-best eight events. |
